I’m taking centre stage on Friday 1st May to Make Some Noise for Focus Ireland. We’re turning up the volume for a reason: child homelessness has hit a record high and it’s beyond unacceptable.

By donating to my fundraising page, you're not just supporting my performance; you're directly contributing to vital homeless services that help families find their way home.

Don’t just watch this crisis happen – help us end it. Make some noise. Make a donation. Make it stop.

Busking for Change: Why I Keep Coming Back to Support Focus Ireland @Focus Ireland To donate below link❤️❤️ https://joinus.focusireland.ie/fundraisers/christinefirmo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ For the past few years, I’ve taken to the streets with my guitar to support Focus Ireland as part of the Make Some Noise campaign—and every year, it means more to me. I’m a singer-songwriter and guitarist, and music has always been how I connect—with people, with emotions, and with stories that are sometimes hard to put into words. Busking brings that connection to life in the most honest way. There’s no stage, no barrier—just me, my guitar, and whoever happens to stop and listen. When I first got involved with Make Some Noise a couple of years ago, I didn’t fully realise the impact it would have. What started as simply playing a few songs quickly became something much deeper. You see the kindness in people up close—someone pausing to listen, a smile, a donation, or even just a conversation about why you’re there. Those moments stay with you. Homelessness is something that affects far too many people across Ireland, and Focus Ireland continues to do incredible work providing support, housing, and hope. Being able to use my music to contribute to that, even in a small way, feels incredibly important. This year feels especially meaningful for me, as I’m also preparing to release my debut single, Painted. It’s a song I wrote about creating worlds where the people we love and miss always exist—a way of holding onto them through memory, imagination, and music. Recording it was a special experience, working with music producer Mark Cahill in Navan this February, bringing something so personal to life. Sharing my own music while supporting a cause like this feels like everything coming together—purpose and passion in the same space. I also share my journey online to help spread the message further. You can find me on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram (@christinefirmo), where I post clips from my busking sessions, original music, and updates on my upcoming release. Being part of Make Some Noise has shown me that making a difference doesn’t have to be complicated. It can start with something as simple as a song. And if that song can help raise awareness, spark kindness, or contribute in any way to ending homelessness, then it’s worth every second. I’ll be back again, guitar in hand—because music has power, and together, we can use it to create change.

Busking for Change: Why I Keep Coming Back to Support Focus Ireland

For the past few years, I’ve taken to the streets with my guitar to support Focus Ireland as part of the Make Some Noise campaign—and every year, it means more to me.
