About Focus Ireland
At Focus Ireland, we believe no child should be without a home.
We work with people living in homelessness or at risk of losing their homes across Ireland. Homelessness is not inevitable, it is wrong. It is wrong because it robs people, including over 5,000 children of their safety, dignity and potential. It is wrong because it can and must be solved.
We challenge the causes of homelessness, the failures in our housing system, the repeated shortcomings of successive governments and the perceptions that allow this crisis to continue. Together, we can end homeless and make sure every child has a safe and secure place to call home.
About Sponsor A Star
- Dublin: Dublin City Council have kindly supported 'Sponsor A Star' again this year by allowing Focus Ireland to adopt the Christmas tree, which has become a well known sight, marking the beginning of the festive season on one of Dublin’s busiest streets, Grafton Street.
- Cork: For the second year in a row, Focus Ireland will also have a Christmas tree in Cork's Kent Station, which will be bigger than last years and visible to hundreds of commuters travelling to and from Cork.
- Limerick: We are excited to announce that we will also be adding a third Christmas tree location in the foyer of Cresent Shopping Centre, one of the busiest retail destinations in the country, where thousands of shoppers will see your support throughout the Christmas season.
Benefits of Sponsorship
We work in partnership with customers, businesses, and other voluntary and statutory organisations, to achieve our goal of preventing people becoming, remaining, or returning to homelessness. Your support will enable us to help every child to grow up with a safe place to call home.
