proudly supports Shine A Light 2024

Shine A Light forms part of an ongoing partnership between Focus Ireland and Bord Gáis Energy, which began in 2015. In 2022, the partnership was extended until 2025, and Bord Gáis Energy has pledged a further €2 million to help tackle family homelessness. This brings the total commitment in funds by Bord Gáis Energy to Focus Ireland to €4.4 million since 2015. 

2024 marks the seventh year that Bord Gáis Energy has sponsored Shine A Light. Over the past seven years, Bord Gáis Energy has learned the importance of giving back to those who need help the most. Their employees, stakeholders, and customers join us in volunteering efforts — something which has proven incredibly important in creating a meaningful CSR partnership with Focus Ireland and has directly supported over 7,500 families experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their home.  

This year, Bord Gáis Energy and Focus Ireland are calling on people across the country to act and help us create real change by joining them on Friday 11 October, to help raise vital funds for Focus Ireland by participating in a sleep out or organizing their own sleep out, to make Shine A Light 2024 the biggest sleep out ever in Ireland. With the support of your amazing fundraising, we aim to raise €1.4 million in 2024 to support people experiencing homelessness across the country. Learn more about our partnership.
