I’m sleeping out against homelessness
For years, we've watched the homelessness -over 16000, crisis grow in Ireland. 5000 children are caught in the middle of it, and it's simply not right. This isn't something we have to accept; it is a question of political will, and choice. And we can’t, as a nation, allow this to continue.
So, I'm doing my part. On Friday 10 October, I'm going to take part in the nationwide sleep out for Focus Ireland's Shine A Light, trading my cosy bed for a sleeping bag for the night. This isn't just about a single night of discomfort; it’s about raising absolutely critical funds for Focus Ireland to help them meet the growing demand for their services.
More than that, though, it’s about making a stand and saying that having thousands of children without a home is just unacceptable.
Please show your support by donating to my fundraising page: every contribution, big or small, gets us closer to creating a future where every child has a safe place to call home.
