When we first took part in the Focus Sleepout in 2015, there were just over 5000 people homeless in Ireland, total. Now, 5,500 CHILDREN in Ireland are growing up without a home, with the total number over 17,000. Behind that number are childhoods missing the moments that matter: no quiet space for homework, no friends coming over, no family meals together, no community to grow up in, no safe home to rely on.
That’s why our team will be sleeping out against homelessness on Friday 9 October for Focus Ireland's Shine A Light. We’re taking action because every child deserves better.
