We’re sleeping out against homelessness

Right now, more than 5,500 children in Ireland are growing up without a home. Behind that number are childhoods missing the moments that matter: no quiet space for homework, no friends coming over, no family meals together, no community to grow up in, no safe home to rely on.

That’s why our team will be sleeping out against homelessness on Friday 9 October for Focus Ireland's Shine A Light. We’re taking action because every child deserves better.

Please show your support by donating to our fundraising page: every contribution, big or small, gets us closer to creating a future where everyone has a safe place to call home.

Well done to all the students participating in the project. It's an incredible experience with such deep learning value. I really admired the idea and ambition of this project from when I first heard about it in Kirk's early Linkedin posts, then saw the actual structures and the students hard at work. Well done to Kirk (and the wider staff and students contributing) for conceiving and following through on a teaching exercise as complex but as long lasting as this. In years to come the students may realise that all there is to be appreciated in architecture and design might have been shown to them in the first few weeks of their education.
