We’re sleeping out against homelessness
Focus Ireland every year organises Shine a Light where people fundraise for people experiencing homelessness in Ireland by sleeping out for a night. This year on 9th October 2026 Focus Ireland in conjunction with Friends of Rathcore Church are hosting a national Shine a Light venue at St Ultan’s Church Rathcore for ‘any priest, any religion’ to sleep out and raise money for the homeless in Ireland.
If you are a priest/clergy/preacher, will you join us to sleep out against
homelessness and fundraise for vital services that support individuals and
families when they need it most?
St Ultan’s Church, Rathcore, Co. Meath, is a former Church of Ireland place of worship, it stands at the crossroads of five roads on the ancient route to Tara which has long disappeared off the landscape. Historically Rathcore was an important meeting place for passing laws in Ireland and with this in mind we would like to bring together priests from all religions to Rathcore, to work together and raise money for the homeless in our society.
