We’re sleeping out at DCU against homelessness

ight now, more than 5,500 children in Ireland are growing up without a home. Behind that number are childhoods missing the moments that matter: no quiet space for homework, no friends coming over, no family meals together, no community to grow up in, and no safe home to rely on.

That’s why we, as DCU students, will be taking part in a sleep out on Friday 13 November in support of Focus Ireland. Our aim is to make this a true DCU effort — bringing students and the wider university community together to take action against homelessness.

By spending one night out in the open, we are standing in solidarity with people experiencing homelessness and helping raise vital funds for Focus Ireland’s work with children, families and individuals across Ireland.

If you can, please support us: join the sleep out, donate to our fundraising page or host your own fundraising event on the night. Every contribution, big or small, helps us move closer to a future where everyone has a safe place to call home.
