I’m sleeping out against homelessness

No child should grow up without a place to call home.

Yet in Ireland today, thousands of children are trapped in the devastating cycle of homelessness. It’s not just heartbreaking — it’s unacceptable. This crisis isn’t inevitable; it’s a matter of political will and collective choice. And as a nation, we must choose differently.

That’s why, on Saturday 29th November, I’m stepping up. I’ll be joining Focus Ireland’s nationwide Shine A Light sleep out — swapping my warm bed for a sleeping bag under the stars. It’s a small act of discomfort to spotlight a much bigger injustice. But more importantly, it’s a powerful way to raise vital funds for Focus Ireland, whose services are stretched to the limit as they fight to protect vulnerable families.

This isn’t just a fundraiser. It’s a statement. A refusal to look away. A commitment to building a future where every child has a safe, secure place to grow, dream, and thrive.
